Our Background
Bone Jour is owned and operated by Becky Pugh, an Arkansas native with a background in art and public relations. Becky opened Bone Jour in Georgetown in 1986 where she hosted dog birthday bashes and baked dog biscuits, before switching her focus to the growing demand for grooming. In 1991, she moved the business to Bethesda where Bone Jour operated on St. Elmo Avenue for more than 20 years. A 2020 expansion to a new location on Del Ray Avenue has allowed us to grow our service offerings to include daycare, boarding, and even bring back dog parties!
Our Mission
From day one, our mission has been to provide people and their dogs with a loving, happy environment for services and retail. Providing award-winning services to the DC and Bethesda communities for more than 3 decades, we are grateful to be a part of so many wonderful families and their dogs' lives. These relationships and our dedication to the craft of grooming and the care of dogs are the reason Bone Jour has flourished and continues to grow.
